Colon Cleanse Maple Syrup
Maple syrup is one of the sweetest liquids in the world. Obtained from the sap of the maple tree, this amber-colored syrup has fewer calories than honey but with considerably more minerals. In the 1950s, Stanley Burroughs discovered the colon cleansing properties of maple syrup and created the Maple Syrup Cleanse, or what is now popularly known as the Master Cleanse. This article aims to provide useful information about this program and how people can use it to be healthy and fit.
Colon Cleanse Maple Syrup with Master Cleanse
Whilst it was first introduced more than half a decade ago, the Master Cleanse has made a huge comeback recently when celebrities such as Beyonce Knowles and Jared Leto have become fans of this diet program. The Master Cleanse consist of lemonade, cayenne pepper, and maple syrup, specifically formulated to free the body from harmful toxins. All the aforementioned ingredients are mixed with 8 ounces of water and this formulation is to be taken for several days. There are three phases in the Master Cleanse program, and these are: the ease-in phase, the maple syrup cleanse phase, and the ease-out phase.
The Ease-In Phase
The ease-in phase takes about three days. Day 1 requires the user to prevent eating processed food and dairy, and instead, eat fruits and vegetables only. Day 2 is all about drinking fruit and vegetable juices in order to prepare the body for the liquid diet that is about to commence, and at the same time, ensure that the body still has all the nutrients it needs. During day 3, the user is required to drink 2 liters of orange juice, which can be obtained by juicing 10 to 15 oranges and mixing it with 2 tablespoons of maple syrup.
The Maple Syrup Cleanse Phase
This phase begins at day 4 wherein the user prepares for the colon cleanse maple syrup procedure. To make the concoction, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of maple syrup, and a tenth of a teaspoon of cayenne pepper are poured into a cup filled with water. Users also have an option to mix a concoction that will suffice for the entire day. Drinking it should always be accompanied with plenty of water to ensure that it is well flushed into the intestines. Doing so also helps lessen hunger pangs but note that all throughout there will be times when a person would feel extreme hunger and desire to eat so this must be controlled.
The Ease-Out Phase
Day 14 is the start of this phase, and the user is required to drink freshly squeezed orange juice mixed with maple syrup (2 tablespoons). The next day, more juices are to be taken in, and it is recommended to have a combination of fruit and vegetable juices to get maximum amounts of nutrients. On day 16, the user will be on a “solid” diet of fruits and vegetables, and there is no longer any need to juice them. And lastly, day 17, he can go back to his regular diet but should refrain from eating processed and high-calorie foods.
