Enema for Colon Cleansing
Modern medicine has moved us forward and helped us in ways we really cannot imagine. However, with current diets lacking in control the health of many people is deteriorating. Health risks associated with a dirty colon are increasing and as such it is necessary to consider colon cleansing methods to restore the digestive system. One such method is through the use of an enema which can be used to flush out the colon. Unlike other colonic irrigation methods, an enema can be administered without the help of professionals.
How do I Administer an Enema?
Enemas are relatively easy to self-administer once you have some experience. On your first time, it should take approximately an hour to administer, however once you become proficient and know how your body reacts, it will take no more than half an hour to totally cleanse your colon from all the toxins and fecal matter that it is carrying.
Required Materials:
• An enema kit – There are many kits available on the internet which usually consist of a plastic bag with a hook which is used to elevate the kit. The enema kit has an attached tube along with a nozzle that allows the water to flow into the colon. There is a regulator attached to this which is used to control the flow of water.
• Lubricant – Do not use Vaseline or any other lubricant that has perfume in it – rather go for an all-natural lubricant that will not be irritating.
• A towel and pillow
Firstly, heat up the water to about 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The reason for this is because the internal temperature of the body hovers around the 102F mark so this is the ideal temperature that the water needs to be.
Location
The next step is to find a suitable location to perform the enema. It is usually recommended to give yourself an enema in the bathroom as you will be close to the toilet once the enema starts to take effect. Hand the enema kit at an elevated position. Lay out the towel and lie on your side with one leg raised slightly higher. Apply the lubricant to the outside and inside of your anus and on the end of the tube that you will be inserting.
Insert the Tube
Slowly insert the tube into your anus. It must be noted that there are two sets of muscles in the anal cavity that contract whenever anything goes through the anus. You have to be careful to go slowly and once you feel a contraction – stop. Once your anus is relaxed again you may continue to the next set of muscles and repeat the process. The tube should only ever be inserted a couple of inches and never more.
Cleanse your Colon
Allow the water to run and control the flow as necessary – if you feel a cramp or uneasiness in your stomach, slow the water flow. Once you have emptied the bag you should try and keep the water in as long as possible, though do not go over 10/15 minutes. Once that is done, sit on the toilet and allow the fluid and waste matter to me removed. Repeat the process once more for optimal results.
