Super Colon Cleanse Review
Super Colon Cleanse is marketed to be a powerful colon cleansing combination of herbs, psyllium husk powder and milk-free acidophilus. It is promoted as having the ability to cleanse the colon of toxins and waste while restoring regularity. It is recommended to use this product periodically while using one of their other products, Colon Cleanse for maintenance in between.
Ingredients
The main ingredients in Super Colon Cleanse are really more indicative of a bulk-forming laxative than a colon cleansing product. While the supplements are high in fiber, they do not contain ingredients that actually counteract toxins and impurities as the marketing claims they are able to do. The ingredients include Psyllium, Senna, Iron, Fennel Seed, Peppermint, Papaya, Rose Hips, Buckthorn Bark, Barberry Root, Celery, and Acidophilus.
The recommended dosage is to take four capsules three times daily with at least 10-12 oz of water, juice or your favorite beverage. There is one grave concern regarding the recommended dosage for children between the ages of 6 and 12 years of age. The label clearly states that children between those ages should take half the adult dose. Unfortunately, cleansing products should never be administered to children unless advised to do so by a qualified pediatrician. This product has not been tested for safety in children. Also, since the ingredients are so high in fiber and senna, even adults may experience negative side effects such as cramping and diarrhea.
Customer Feedback
There is a mixed bag of customer reviews which give both positive and negative feedback. Most of the positive remarks are in relation to Super Colon Cleanse as being able to promote regularity in bowel movements. However, the majority of feedback that has been quick in surfacing refers to it as an ineffective product that in someone else´s words, “did not work for me…if anything it bloated me more.” Another customer admitted that results were forthcoming, however, they developed a dependency on it and bowel movements were only regular while taking the product. There were a number of registered complaints that Super Colon Cleanse did, indeed, cause abdominal cramping and diarrhea. In the end, their consensus was that the supplements are as good as a laxative for the relief of constipation only.
Company Assurance
Super Colon Cleanse is available both online as well as in a multitude of retailers across the country. As there is no guarantee cited on the company website, it is apparent that the only guarantee consumers will get would be awarded from the retailer or distributor the product was purchased from. It is our advice that prior to purchasing this product consumers investigate the return and refund policies of the company selling Super Colon Cleanse. This is also an area that displeased many customers; the inability to find a solid guarantee as to the product’s efficacy and safety.
Value For Price
Although the price is extremely low, the value of this product does not increase proportionately. The list price for 120 caps is $14.38 while 240 caps cost $23.88. Super Colon Cleanse is also available in a 12 oz powder form that retails at $12.99. Since this is really only a natural laxative type product, the price cannot be viewed in terms of a cleansing product.
Our Verdict – 0 out of 5
Since Super Colon Cleanse is not really an effective colon cleansing product as it is marketed as being, and also because there is a potential for side effects, we would not recommend it for use by the general public. Those factors along with the lack of a solid money back guarantee from the manufacturer leads us to rate it as 0 out of 5.
