Colon Clenz Review

0

Colon Clenz by Natural Balance is marketed as being a colon cleansing supplement that is also formulated to rid the body of toxins as well as waste. It also provides constituents which are soothing to inflamed areas on intestinal walls. According to the directions, one capsule should be taken once or twice a day to promote regularity.

Ingredients

The supplements are formulated with Cascara Sagrada, Senna, Chinese Rhubarb, Black Walnut, Aloe Vera, Oregon Grape, Yellow Dock, Valerian Root and Slippery Elm. While these ingredients are known to promote bowel movements through stimulation of the muscles along the intestinal tract, a couple of those ingredients are known to have the potential for some serious side effects. Cascara Sagrada and Chinese Rhubarb can cause stomach pain, diarrhea and perhaps even premature labor by stimulating uterine contractions. Also, Black Walnut can have an adverse reaction in sensitive individuals. There is a very precise warning on the product website that also states that individuals with a history of kidney stones should avoid using Colon Clenz unless advised to do so by a doctor.

Customer Feedback

There are varying reports having been submitted by consumers and they run the gambit of good to bad. While men do not have any problems with side effects, according to these surveys, some women have stated that it is a little too strong for them. It is effective in cleansing the digestive tract, but some people are looking for a product that is more gentle. Although Aloe and Slippery Elm are known to ease digestive discomfort, it may not be enough protection to counteract the potent herbs Cascara Sagrada and Chinese Rhubarb. Although those ingredients are thought to be safe, they are most often used by individuals who have cleansed in the past. They might be a little too powerful for the novice cleanser.

Company Assurance

There does not appear to be any kind of guarantee being offered, but this could be because Colon Clenz is available in retail stores. Quite often the manufacturer leaves it up to the discretion of the store to set a refund policy. It is unclear based on the website whether or not the manufacturer compensates retailers for a loss in revenue. However, the manufacturer has been in business for more than 25 which is indicative of ethical business practices.

Value For Price

This is one product that is quite inexpensive. Thirty capsules retail for $7.99, with 60 costing $14.99 and 120 selling for $22.39 at full cost. Value is generally based on what you can get for the money and although this seems like a good buy at first, there are factors which should be considered prior to purchasing Colon Clenz.

Our Verdict – 2 out of 5

It is our opinion, after having reviewed the product and its ingredients, that there are more effective products on the market that can afford a complete cleansing of the colon. There is some amount of discrepancy in the marketing of Colon Clenz as sometimes it is promoted as a cleansing supplement and others as an herbal laxative. There is a difference between a cleansing supplement and a laxative and the two should never be confused. That factor combined with a lack of adequate information on the website, the potential for side effects, and no apparent guarantee gives us cause to grade Colon Clenz poorly. We would not recommend it and have rated it 2 out of 5.
